Speco security system shut off randomly, it's been running for almost 7 years, we paid $6 grand for the system, which is a 16 channel security camera output/input. It randomly turned off, I opened it up to clean out the dust and debree inside, it's still not turning on, the fans are working when I turn it on, they start up and the lights come on and quickly turn off within a second, it will not stay on any longer, I'm not sure of the exact model number but it was the top of the line when it came out, uv

How do I disarm my 2011 jeep grand cherokee alarm? It keeps going off randomly and my remote doesn't shut it off

GOT OPTION "ENTER AND GO"???????????????
did you use both FOBS. car came with 2, try using both , one at a time and not both near car as SAME time. ever.

mines turned off for ever,
i never armed it.
so page what.
wow 6 owners manuals, 4 for Uconnect, wow. pain.
page 22. read that?
sure.
is this not clear ,quoted
The Vehicle Security Alarm is designed to protect your
vehicle; however, you can create conditions where the
Vehicle Security Alarm will arm unexpectedly. If you
remain in the vehicle and lock the doors with the RKE
transmitter, once the Vehicle Security Alarm is armed
(after 16 seconds), when you pull the door handle to exit,
the alarm will sound. If this occurs, press the UNLOCK
button on the RKE transmitter to disarm the Vehicle
Security Alarm. You may also accidentally sound the
Vehicle Security Alarm by unlocking the driver's door
with the key and then opening the door

good luck deciphering this page, wow.!
page 23 is NO ENTER AND GO', OPTION.
Either press the UNLOCK button on the RKE transmitter,
pull on the front driver or passenger door handle (refer to
"Keyless Enter-N-Go" in "Things To Know Before Starting
Your Vehicle" for further information) with a valid
key fob in range, or press the Keyless Enter-N-Go Start/
Stop button (requires at least one valid Key Fob in the
vehicle), or insert a valid Key Fob into the ignition switch
(if the Start/Stop button is removed) and rotate it to the
ON/RUN position.

END QUOTES FROM YOUR GUIDE.
if all this fails get jeep to fix it. (the magic is broken so...)
or ask them to explain, page 23 , in non GREEK..

1997 grand cherokee keeps acting like losing power, backfires and randomly shuts off and now it wont start again...any suggestions??

timing belt may have slipped. usually if the engine starts to back fire and then lose power the timing belt is loose. would check this and replace if it looks suspect. also timing belts should be changed at a certain time or miles witch ever is the grater. average is 4-6 years on a engine that don't do meany miles 2-4 years on a heavy run engine.

Service theft system 2004 grand prix

temporary solution is to turn key to 'on' position and leave it for 10 minutes, this will reset the computer and the security light should go off...be ready for it to happen again at some random time in the future, though.

My 1994 jeep grand cheeroke 4.0 inline 6 cyl will start but dies instantly afterward it has fuel but just randomly the security system started acting up i tried putting my key in driver door and turning it...

Try using the key-less entry to disarm the security. then I think I would get out the test light and look at the A.S.D. (auto shut down) relay in the fuse box under the hood. Verify it is not ignition switch. This relay gives the injectors, coil, and other things power.

CAR STARTED TO SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING I PUT IN NEUTRAL RESTARTED THEN BACK TO DRIVE DID IT 2 SEPARATE TIMES FINALLY WAS DRIVING PARKED AND IT SHUT OFF HASN'T COME BACK ON I HAVE SEVERAL CODES FROM AUTO...

Dieing while driving but restarting right away, no starts from a dead stop. To me this sounds like the anti theft security system shutting you down. These have been known to turn off injectors while driving and starters while stopped. Check and see if a light is illuminated that says SECURITY when it fails to start. Leave the key forward and look for it. If you see that light, then it is 100% the security system. There are 2 fuse blocks. The Power Distribution Center is under the hood along the passenger side fender and has fuses and relays in it. The other is on the passenger side of the dash and has fuses and circuit breakers.
