The tcs and abs lites are on when I turn my car on. why?

SO JUST THE LAMP ACTS ODD OR YOU ACTUALY DID TESTS ON SAY SAND OR ICE TO PROVE IT IS DEAD;
WE CAN GUESS WHAT YOU DID OR THINK.
THE LAMP GLOWS WHEN ABS FAILS
IF YOU SCANNED ABS THERE IS ERRORS
IF ABS FAILS EVEN THE BRAKES, ACTUAL ARE BAD.

AND ME TESTING IT. ON SANDY LOT
I CAN AT ANY TIME TURN THE STEERING ******* SAND
MOVING EVEN SLOW AND TCS FLASHES.
IT MEANS IT CAN'T CURE MY SKIDS, THE MANUAL IS CLEAR AS DAY ON THIS, IF YOU WERE TO READ IT.

Is your trac light lit ? If so it has a problem an till it is fixed , you can't reset it. Need to have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes .
If the ABS control module detects a malfunction, it will disable TCS and will command the BCM to turn the TRAC LED Off. The driver can also disable TCS, if desired, by depressing the TRAC switch. When the driver depresses the TRAC switch, the ABS control module will disable TCS and will command the BCM to turn the TRAC LED Off.

The TCM sends a serial data message to the electronic brake control module (EBCM) indicating that torque reduction is temporarily not allowed.

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) is required to operate within a specified range of voltage to function properly. During antilock brake system (ABS) and traction control system (TCS) operation, there are current requirements that will cause the voltage to drop. Because of this, voltage is monitored out of ABS/TCS control to indicate a good charging system condition, and also during ABS/TCS control when voltage may drop significantly. The EBCM also monitors for high voltage conditions which could damage the EBCM.

the tcs system is detecting the weight and sway of the trailer because the load on the hitch is too much- that's the simple answer.

The ABS and TCS work together - the ABS system is what detects wheel spin and tell the TCS which diverts and/or control power.

PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTIONBefore diagnosing ABS/TCS, perform a comprehensive visual inspection of system as follows.Check ABS/TCS wiring harness connectors for looseness. Your antilock brake system is malfunctioning due to low fluid or excessive brake wear. When this system is malfunctioning, your traction control system is prevented from operating by the master control module. Take your car down and have your brake system checked. This is not for the typical do it yourself mechanic at home. The most important thing on your car is it's ability to stop before causing something or someone some real problems.

Hello: If there is a problem in the ABS it will bring on the tcs light as well. To determine what is causing the problem you need to have the ABS checked with a scanner to get the code. Then trouble shoot the components that the code leads you to. Normal braking is available with the light on but TCS is not as it relies on ABS for functioning the TCS.

CANT FIX AT HOME,DEALERSHIP HAS TO FIX.ABS AND TCS SYSTEM HAS TO BE CHECKED WITH SPECIAL DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT.

When the engine light comes on, the tcs automatically comes on too, until vehicle is re-started. Once you fix the issue with the engine light , tcs won’t come on anymore.

some markets have a button on the dash with tcs/abs and a dash light saying "tcs off".if your car has not got the button then you cant turn it off(germany yes.uk no)abs/tcs should only be turned off in deep snow,otherwise best left alone,unless you have been taught how to drive with/without.....(on ice you wants the wheels to turn,on snow you want the snow to wedge to slow you down......)see what i mean???

I assume tht is traction control. Check fuses ,eeven abs fuses ,traction control is part of abs. If fuses ok will need scan tool to find cause of lite going on. Most common are abs sensors and broken abs wires. And if abs tone ring is part of axle shaft some rock may have damaged teeth of ring .
