I have a 2003 Toyota Tundra with a keyless entry remote. The remote stopped working and the truck will not start. Lights wont come on, radio wont come on, the truck wont even turn over. We tried jumping the battery and when we attached the cables the alarm started to go off. How can we disable the alarm and security system so we can have our reliable truck back?
Other than just bypassing the whole security system {cutting and splicing wires} 2 things, check the battery in the remote, if that still fails take the remote to the dealer {Oriely Autos also have remote testers} and ask them to test it for you, saves you pulling wires and shorting the system out completely. good luck.

I just had this same problem with a '96 . do you have a vats key in your '94? you need to bypass the VATS system. read some of the blogs on this site and it will tell you how to do it. I fixed mine with a $2 resistor from radio shack.

There should be a relay under the hood for the security system, if you can not find it, try jacking the front of the car up, it should have a sensor that tells it that it is being towed and should turn off, unless of course it has a bad wire that is grounding out.

With the doors shut, insert the key into the drivers door lock. Lock and unlock the door 5 times. This should reset the system. If that doesn't work you should contact a qualified repair shop.
not positive but look in owner manual for a fuel pump reset button i had this problem at one time and that fixed it it is usualy under the dash area somewhere on the drivers side or in a kick panel (decorative cover on the side firewalls inside the cab)....good luck i hope this helps!

Replace ignition lock cylinder and chip key. The wires have broken.
