you HAVE to get a remote and unlock the car.the dealer may be able to turn it off with the obd2 system,you have to call subaru.

factory alarms have fuses too. try looking in the fuse box... remove the fuse and it'll disable the alarm...

Try cycling the key in the door from lock to unlock , see if that helps.

  • 1 Press the "Unlock" key on your key fob to deactivate the alarm and unlock the car doors. If you've lost your key fob, unlocking the driver's side door with the key automatically deactivates the PT Cruiser's alarm.
  • 2 Look for the black alarm box underneath the dashboard, on the driver's side of the car. Locate the override button on the box -- either a black or red button, depending on the year of the PT Cruiser -- but don't press it yet.
  • 3 Put the key in the ignition and turn the key so that the battery is on, but the engine doesn't start. Quickly push and hold in the override button until you hear the alarm sound once, indicating the alarm is disabled.

    When i turn on my 2005 jeep chereokee the car turns off and a red circle comes on the dash on the right side. what is causing the car to turn off?
    That red light has to do with the alarm system of the vehicle. This system uses a key with a small chip located in the key head. When you start the vehicle the alarm recieves a signal from the key. If the alarm is not seeing this signal it will cut off power to the engine and that red light will appear. While there are a few possible reasons this can occur I think the best place to start is with the key. Did you recently get new keys made?

    this is the factory alarm indicator light. try locking the doors while your in the car and wait a few minutes. Unlock the door and open it and the horn should start to beep. Put your key in the driver's door and turn twice to unlock all the doors and stop the alarm.
