The door panel is held on by plastic clips.. first check behind the door handle and see if there are bolts or screws there. then start on the bottom and pry the panel loose starting on bottom of panel and then going up the sides with a flat blade screw driver. once you have gotten sides and bottom loose pickup on the door panel to release it from the window ledge this is how the top is held in place.. holler if you need more info .. How do you get power window back in it's track, rear upper section of the window has fallen forward.

If you want to do this you need to remove the inner door panel( and maybe a weather barrier). be aware if you have any power options with switches on the door panel they must be disconnected before you attempt door panel removal.as soon as you remove the door panel(usually two or three screws and a dozen easily breakable plastic clips holding it in place) you will be able to see the window lift mechanism. if the window has not fallen completely off track you will be able to see how it is held by the "lift cradle" carefully without letting the window fall down into the door place the window back into its track"cradle" and loosely tighten the fasteners. and reconnect the window crank or window switch temporarily to slowly lift and lower the window while supporting it with your hand (to be sure it doesn't fall off its track while testing it) check if the window is tracking properly. if if seems to slide up and down appropriately and lands into the window seal appropriately then lower the window to a place where you can snug down the window retainers not too tight so as not to break the glass. and replace the door panel. after all switches or mechanisms are replaced test it again slowly to check for appropriate function and if you are satisfied pat yourself on the back for a job well done. i hope this helps

My passenger window won't go down

you should check the fuses first, then ensure power to the motor in the passenger side if no power check the switches for the power windows. Also it is common for window motors/ regulators to fail and have to be replaced. If the driver's one is running slowly remove door panel and lubricate the cables and tracks with some rust check or wd 40 etc, etc... and silicone lube on the guide tracks at either end of the window. hope this helps

How do i fix my 1996 honda accord driver side window? When i roll down the window it falls off the track! they are manual, not power. How do I fix?

If you take the door panel off which there is only 2 to 4 screws holding in on and some clips in the back. pull the window to the top of the door and tape in place pull the track up and line track up with the window fully up and make sure to tighten track bolts on both the window and door bolts. hope that helps

2003 honda civic driver side window fall down

I am guessing you have power windows. Happens to mine sometimes.
Slam the door a couple to few times, see if that doesn't put the window back on "track". I mentioned this to the dealership a while back and they were going to charge about $90 to pop off the interior part of the door and put it back on track. They said it "builds up dirt".
I actually also toggle the window switch a few times to see if it will move slightly and then do my door slam thing a couple to few times. I seem to get this problem when it rains.
I hope it helps.

My window went down and would not come up. The 3 other windows goes down w/o problems. What may be the problem?

The window rests in a track to guide it up and down. The window will fall of this track causing the window to stay down. You can probly grab the window and pull it up but it will not stay it needs to be put back on track. You can do this by pulling off the door panel and working the window back in place and pushing the track tight agiant the window and adjusting them as need be. If this starts happing alot it will need a new window motor and regulater.

Good luck

Driver side window is off track and stuck about 75% closed

If your power window motor is not moving up or down at all inside the door panel, you will need a new motor.
If your window is stuck and will not move, it is the motor - it is bad.
If your window falls down into the door panel, the window is off track.
Replacing a window motor is an easy fix, get another one from an auto parts store and replace it.
Good luck!

Why does my window come off track in my 91 accord?

Could be the tracks have slipped so the window isn't guided well any more or they stick in one track and get cocked as they move up and down. You can try lubricating the window tracks with Armor All (use a Q-tip). It might be necessary to remove the interior door panel to make sure the window tracks aren't loose. There is screw at the bottom of each track that allows some adjustment. If you go to this extent, it might be worth it to remove the glass (just two screws hold it to the regulator mechanism), clean the edges and lubricate the whole length of the track.

FRONT DOOR WINDOW

Yes. I have fixed my driver side window several times. The window went all the way down and came off the track, usually because the window automatically went all the way down. The first step was to take the interior side of the door off: (1) I unscrewed the screws around the door and pull the plastic screws out. (2) I disconnected the thin metal rod that connects the door handle to the door frame to be able to pull the interior part of the door away from the metal frame of the door. (3) I unscrewed the speaker to see where the window meets the rubber track. (4) I kept the electrical wires connected so that I could use the electric window button to lower and raise the window. (5) I lowered the window down below the rubber track and loosened the screw holding the rubber track to the door. (6) I manually adjusted the rubber track around the window glass and pressed the electric window button up slowly, making sure the glass stayed on the track. (7) I put everything back in place, screwed in the screws, etc. Be careful not to let the window go all the way down, because it seems to fall off the track at that point. Hope this helps!
