YOU HAVE FUSE RELAY BOX IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT NEAR THE BATTERY AND YOU HAVE FUSE PANEL UNDER THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DASH.FUSE RELAY COVER SHOULD HAVE FUSE RELAY LOCATIONS OR LOOK IN OWNERS MANUAL IN GLOVE COMPARTMENT.
It could be any part that spins and has a bearing including the power steering pump, air condition compressor, alternator, water pump etc., even if the belts are too tight!!! The easiest way to find problem is by removing each belt and see if the noise is still there.
The serial number (for an F2 engine) is positioned on a plate below Spark Plug #1. It starts with "F2" in large letters, followed by a 6 digit number in smaller characters.
i have a 91 mx6. the intake is all cattywompus and im just goin to take a piece of metal and tube and cut a hole in the peice of metal and weld the tube to it take my stupid box out and run that pipe staight to a coupling and then to the cone air filter. try looking on the firewall under hood by the master cylinder there should be 2 relays there one of the 2 is it mine happens to be the one on right as you face the car
