Is there air because you did something with the cooling system? Air in the hoses can mean different things depending on what's been recently done to the car. If you have done anything to the car then just try adding some coolant to the res. If it's eating coolant then I'd be looking at your head gaskets. Check your oil and make sure it's not milky looking. Check your coolant and make sure there's no oil in it. If you start your car in the morning and it has water coming out the tail pipes, take a clear glass jar and hold it over the tail pipe (s) let the water build up for a few minutes. The water should be clear. If the water has a green or red tint to it. Then you've got a blow head gasket and that's where the air is coming from, and if that is the case, if you do not have the gaskets fixed the engine will blow, it's only a matter of time.
