Battery is good,..car wont start and is clicking..i think its the starter?...where is the starter? And if ur only 50% mechanically inclined, could u do it on ur own?
Assume you have at least a 302 v8. Your starter soinoid is probably the problem. Starter should be located under the car near the rear of the engine/ transmission bellhousing on the passenger side. I think it is the two bolt starter with the ford electrical connection that has to be pushed off. Starter is around the size of a tomato or fruit juice size can, is round with large electrical wire as well as small wires going to it. It is vertical, orientated front to back. If you have the proper tools - sockets, rachet, extension, etc as well as jack stands and blocks, you should be able to change the starter with the soinoid.. Make sure you unhook the battery first. A trouble light will also be helpful to see what you are unhooking, etc. Have your starter checked like autozone to see if it really is bad before you buy a new one, because its probably the soinoid. Hope this helps you, Rick

The problem is in the wiring harness, yes the battery and starter is good, the harness you repaired is the PRNDL. for the starter to start it need a path when the vehicle is Park or Nuetral, there the path is closed some how by Park and Nuetral the path is open.Thats why there is a no start.when in park or nuetral the path is closed.
i have a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. you have a short in your wiring harness leading to your battery. this happens every time with these cars, good battery-good starter-good alternator but car still wont turn over because the power from the battery isnt able go directly to the motor. check your relay circuits and harness.
