Be aware if you intend to service the smart car D.I.Y the sump does NOT have a drain plug. That's right the sump pan is a sealed unit and the only way to extract the motor oil is by litterally sucking the oil out via the dipstick tube. Silly idea really. the dealer can make one with the vin # but if it has chip in the key ( pass lock) then you will have to have it towed to the dealer.good luck.

it should be on your registration and your insurance card and also you can find on bootm of windsheild, if you stand outside the car on driverside and look towards the bottom of windsheild you will see a tag with vin #.

I would find a francised dealer to see if you can puchase one of the old ones when they receive their updated cd's. Normally they toss them out when the new one come in
