Question about 2004 Honda Accord
that is called FLARE, and can burn up clutch packs or bands.
do not allow this.
as with all GEAR BOX issues.
1: ever service it?
2: ever check levels, color of ATF or smell it.
ATF is pink,, not brown an smells sweet , never burnt.
are you asking for real help DIY ,or ? or want raw , wild guessing.
tell the answering persons what you need, some just need a hand holding ,others want what is printed in every FSM published for almost all cars.
the FSM has a section, called, "on CAR A/T service)
off car service, is 1000 pages. or more. and 2 books,
on car is about 100 pages in my FSM book
dealers sell FSM (real not Chilton bs or haynes)
or find them online for free.
or at fleabay
or best yet, alldata.com or mitchels..
ok , fluid check passes.
you pull the pan and replace the filter. ?and do a full flush?.
a real pro shop ASE he will tread carefully here.
if say car was driven with no service for 150k miles 3x max.
then the A/T box is full of ****.
and a full flush can make it worse. well in your case....?????
if A/T likes the engine warm to start working
look for clogged filter, hot ATF oil flows better thru a clogged A.T filter.
the A/T has a pressure port and this test shows low pressures.
is the check engine light on, newer cars , 1997 and newer report
transmission errors via the CEL lamp glowing, and and scan tool can see them, early P07xx codes, 7 = TRANNY
newer cars have newer codes.. im not looking yours up now.

You probably have a faulty sensor at the transmission.
Go to your local parts store, and they can give you the part and how to install it. It's pretty easy.

Try checking it out at the shop but i think that you might find that your going to have to replace the clutch.
