SOURCE: why is there a clicking noise when i turn the heat off in my 05 mustang

It's nothing to worry about, most vehicles do this clicking noise when the blower motor slows to a stop. It's perfectly fine, don't touch it.

Your battery is strong enough to operate the radio, but does not have enough to power the starter. That means you either need to charge the battery or get a new one.

Check and clean the battery cables to start with. Exactly what lights come on when you turn the key on?

I have a clicking sound in my 05 pontiac vibe and it sounds like it is coming from the dash. When you turn the reciralate button on it will stop. I don't know if something is in the vent or what.

It could be the air temperature control actuator motor drive that makes this noise, have the dealer check it. It requires the dash to be removed to replace it and the door it moves, which is most likely sticking.

My air conditioner in my 2006 ford freestyle is blowing warm air. If I speed up it will cool a little and then when i turn off my car there is a clicking noise coming from the dash

I had the same problem with my ford, it turned out to be a door in the dash that switched between heat and a/c, the clicking noise is the gears flaping the door but not being able to open, if your heat works fine but not a/c this is the problem. BTW this part is very hard to get to without removing your dash.

Loud clicking noise from dash whenever heat

I have and 2002 with rear air and had the same noise and problem in the back. There is motor in the back that moves a flapper door open and closed to blend the hot and cold. The motor has plastic gears in it and they strip out making a clicking noise when the motor cannot hit the point that the heat control dial is being set too. Probably the same set under the front dash. You will more than likely need to by a new motor assy.

98 Mustang v6 - no AC

Make sure the radiator pressure cap is the correct one and that the hose is not soft--check the lower hose and heater hoses for softness as well. They should be firm, but not hard or cracking. The temperature sensor is reporting normal operating temperature, so it and the thermostat are working correctly (hot water would blow out of the radiator if it were stuck). Check the cooling fan for free turning and no noise. Check it's grounding connection. Check the fuse box for blown fuses to the fan and to the A/C compressor. Make sure all the relays and fuses are firmly pressed into their sockets. Check the A/C compressor clutch winding for resistance--should not read infinity. Does the blower motor for the heater/A/C run when either is turned on? The A/C switch on the dash may be defective.

1999 Mustang heater problem

The heater/AC temp control blend door is warped and sticking, this is a very common problem in this series of mustang, in order to fix it the dash must be removed.
