On the motor block itself on each side. Can find a little aluminium square or can be just marked right on the metal.Sometimes get covered in dirt or oil need good light and cleaning to discover.Rusty ones must pas thin sandpaper to show.Hint: the place itself may look like ready to receive a long number,it is like a long, flat.protuberance (lump...)Cheers

why this, ? the VIN is what we use here. USA.

our serials on yours if outside usa, are different !
some export jeeps have no serial at all. there.
(your countries laws dictate this)
why post lacking country
if in USA
the first chapter covers this in your car.
my guess Jeep Wrangler JK
3.6L Pentastar V6.
the real service manual covers this. for sure.
i have 3.8 engine.

3.6L book words
The engine serial number is located on the left side of the cylinder block at the transmission flange.

Sl 550 engine serial number number location

what country.?
the country car was sold to dictates serials if or none at all.
we can't guess your country
but here, in USA on this USA forum , its
on the first chapter, of all FSM books,
shows all engines and all locations of all serials.

Mercedes-Benz SL550
in USA or Germany.?
here in uSA they never ask this. (cept boat motors)
so why do you need to know that.
all we use here, is VIN.
but all mine do have engine #
but for example my same car sold say in China.
it does not.

Engine number location

The FSM covers that page one, so I know you dont have the book
my favorite car btw.
so can help. which engine? learn first what is there exactly
my guess is it is a 3S-GTE
first google hit lands here. (amazing huh)

its below thermostat and if USA car, (you never stated this)
a tag

btw , did you know that countries dictate the rules for engine numbers. ours does, ours not only have serial number but a year
code that other countries dont have. (smog laws here)
so why not post your country. and WIN.

Mercedes benz ml270 engine serial number location

The table below will help you locate your Mercedes' unique VIN # - its unique vehicle identification number. VINs are normally located in several locations on a car, but the most common places are:
- On the door frame/door post of the front doors (usually driver's but sometimes passenger's)
- On the dash near the windshield
- On the engine itself (machined pad on front of engine)
- On the car's firewall
- In the left-hand inner wheel arch
- On the steering wheel/steering column
- On the radiator support bracket
- On your car's title, registration, guarantee/maintenance book or on the declarations page of your auto insurance policy

I Hope this helps dont forget to rate me~

Dont know

Should be a serial number stamped into the engine block. Maybe located below the left side of the head, on the block. Or, on the rear of the block. Look for it. It will tell you what year and model the engine is, at least.

05 f-250 power stroke, where is the plug for the engine heater? I am unable to locate the plug for the engine heater. Did they make them without engine heaters?

I dont know about that year, but alot of your newer desiels dont come with a block heater. If you cant locate the plug you most likley dont have one.

Daewoo Lanos Engine Number

should be on a small seperate plate located no the front of the engine compartment. if not there then check on the back of the engine compartment for a small section with your serial stamped into it. if there are none of the above then i would check for stolen recovered.
