SOURCE: car troubles with my 2004 kia rio

This could be a bad thing or it could just be the guage failed. I would bring it in to dealer and hope you are under waranty meaning under 100,000 miles. And single owner.

SOURCE: 2004 Kia Rio Timing Belt

Typically timing belts need to be replaced every 60,000 miles, in order to prevent them from breaking or loosing teeth and leaving you stranded, or possibly damaging the engine. I doubt the timing belt is causing your engine vibration issue. I would suspect that a good tune up would take care of that problem.

SOURCE: gear box oil filler plug - kia rio 2004

you have to take off the speedometer cable/wiring harness from the top of the trans and fill it from there....one 10mm bolt...very awkward spot...it might be snug, so just take a flat head screwdriver from underneath to tap it loose...

2004 kia rio wont start after I washed the engine.

This would either mean that the starter got water in it or the distributor or the plugs. Check for bad rubber seals and you may find your issue. Check also for wires that may have loosened up during cleaning.

I had a similar problem. Check your Fuse's or where your fuel pump it may not be getting fuel. Or like mine did the computer or ecu went dead. Take it to a dealer to see if they can figure it out if not, and later on i seriously suggest to buy a new car, Kia Rio's ****, it will break down again.
