Maybe the motor is not working, the air your getting comes from the vent settings, if the fan work you should get air at any speed.
if the fan works at high but not low you have a bad motor or staring to go bad, when this happens you have to check 2 things the switch and the motor.

the reason you get ait is because the speed of the car pushes air throug the vent

My 2003 mercury mountaineer the air just stopped.no power it seems.wont do nothing.make no sound at all.it was working fine

You mean no air blowing out of the vents ? Blower motor maybe , blower motor relay , high speed control relay , blower motor resistor . Do you know to test automotive electrical circuits , how to read a wiring diagram so you know what circuits to test ? Doesn't matter that it was working fine , that's the nature of automotive electrical systems . Your best bet mite be to take to a repair shop. But if you care to try and fix it yourself there are videos on youtube.

The blower doesn't blow when I turn the air or heat on but the blower in the back works fine the knob from higg to low is stuck in the middle and I can't get it to move

Have you tested the front blower motor with a test lead hooked to 12 volts? Use a length of lamp cord and make up a jumper to test the blower, replace as necessary. Also inspect the connector to the blower for signs of melting or burning, replace as necessary.

We have a 2002 villager, the fan only works on Hi setting, Checked the 20 Amp fuse in the panel to the left of the steering column, as well as the larger fuse in the engine compartment. Both are fine. Is...

The blower motor doesn't use a different fuse depending on the speed. The most common cause for your concern is bad blower motor resistors. The resistors lower the voltage to the blower motor so it doesn't turn at full speed when you have it set to fan speed 1. When the resistors blow out the only setting that works is full speed because it doesn't go through the resistor.

A/C fan switch only works on high

it's your blower motor resistor in the plenum case. They usually blow the thermal limiter because the blower motor is drawing too much current. It's starting to go.
You can replace the resistor, 2 screws under the dash on the passenger side. It has a 4 or 5 wie connector. About $25 from a Ford or Mercury dealer.

1999 mercury villager put in new heater blower motor and motor blows but nothing out the vents and which way is motor supposed to turn

If it is factory Ford/Motocraft motor, it has an arrow on it for direction of rotation. Pull the hose off the motor and see if air blows out of it. It cools the bearing on the motor. If air comes out, dircetion is ok. Report back

Blower motor resistor

Hi..The Blower Motor Resistor is located under the glove compartment, pass side. You do not need to remove the glove box, or anything. Look under the dash on the pass side and you will see the resistor with the wires leading to it. (looks about the width of a Credit card) Simply undo the ( 2 ) 9 or 10mm screws from the resistor, slide/pull it down from the slot, un-clip the wire harness and replace with the new resistor. Screw it back up. Thats it. Takes about 4 minutes. The dealer wants $125.+ to do the job. The resistor is about $24.00.
Good Luck. If it keeps blowing, the blower motor is probably drawing too many amps. Then you have to switch that out.
