Question about Cars & Trucks
Citroen c4 cooling fan issue Hi, I have 2006 Citroen C4 2.0 16v Exclusive. My problem is, if I stuck in traffic or if I park my car and keep engine running, after 10-15 minutes, the temperature seems 4 bars in the display and then the cooling fan starts working with full speed. After a while, the temperature getting normal. However gear shifting seems weird. I changed temperature sensor and fan resistor on my car. When I check my car with Lexia, there is no error at all. On the other hand I confirm that with Lexia, the temperature stays around 110 degree and when its reach 115 fan starts with full speed. I just need some advice. Thanks for your help

SOURCE: My b14 Nissan vehicle cooling
there are 2 possible broblems
1- the thermostat is not opening to check this let the car run hot and monitor the tempreture of the two radiator hoses, when it get to the point when the heat gauge rises above normal both pipes should be hot to the touch, if only one pipe is hot that means the hot water wont circulate through the radiator to activate the fan switch.
2- There could be air in the cooling system, whilst filling the cooling system remove the top hose to allow all the air to escaspe as you fill the system with air. please note not to open the cooling system cap or pipes whilst the water is hot as it could burn you badly.
Hope this is of some help to you.
