SOURCE: Trouble code P2135, and P2106.

I have the same problem on my 06 explorer.
Ford Dealership told me i needed my "electronic throttle body assembly" replaced.
It would cost about $630.

I'm a little hesitant to let them do that service though, because it may not be the whole thing that needs replacing. I'd just look in to getting the Throttle Positioning Sensor replaced.. which would cost a lot less.

all codes point towards a throttle body malfunction. try cleaning the throttle body first. check for loose wires. if problem persists. replace throttle body.

SOURCE: codes p2106

I think you'll find it's a problem with your throttle you might need to talk to you local ford dealer but don't get talked into getting bit's replaced! I've been tld that you can put a recommended cleaner into your fuel tank and this can sometimes cure the problem - worth a go................

SOURCE: My truck engine light came

Im assuming you have a 2004-present f150/Expedition. These codes are throttle positon sensor codes/forced limit. These codes are normally caused by the TPS but on some vehicles the TPS is not servicable. If so you need to replace the whole throttle body and there is also a PCM update that will need to be done to complete the repair.

P2106 - Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System - Forced Limited Power Description: The TAC system is in the failure mode effects management (FMEM) mode of forced limited power. This DTC indicates the FMEM action is in effect due to a failure in an electronic throttle control (ETC) related component or module. Possible Causes:
  • Unplugged motor, circuits shorted to power.
  • TAC motor open, unplugged motor, circuits shorted to power.
  • TAC motor stuck open or closed.
  • Mass air flow (MAF) sensor fault.
  • Throttle position (TP) sensor fault.
  • Module communications network concerns.
  • Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor fault (Vehicles with an EGR system module [ESM]).
  • Output shaft speed (OSS) sensor fault (Crown Victoria, Expedition, Explorer, F-150 4.6L and 5.4L, Grand Marquis, LS, Mountaineer, Mustang 4.6L automatic, Thunderbird, Town Car).
  • Turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor fault (Crown Victoria, Expedition, Explorer, F-150 4.6L and 5.4L, Grand Marquis, LS, Mountaineer, Mustang 4.6L automatic, Thunderbird, Town Car).
  • Anti-lock brake system (ABS) fault (Crown Victoria, Expedition, Explorer, F-150 4.6L and 5.4L, Grand Marquis, LS, Mountaineer, Mustang 4.6L automatic, Thunderbird, Town Car).
Diagnostic Aids: This DTC is an informational DTC and can be set in combination with a number of other DTCs which are causing the FMEM. Diagnose any accompanying powertrain DTCs first. For Crown Victoria, Expedition, Explorer, F-150 4.6L and 5.4L, Grand Marquis, LS, Mustang 4.6L automatic, Thunderbird, and Town Car with only P2106, repair any ABS DTCs, ABS related DTCs in other modules or vehicle communication concerns using the appropriate section of the Workshop Manual. P2135 code reduced power light on. Is it a o2 problem or throttle body.

Thats a throttle body code p2135 that and p2101 unfortanatly are saying that the whole throttle body needs to be replaced do to an electronic malfuntion that is not a serviceable part or sensor.

The tool light comes on after traveling

The dealer should be able to read the trouble code.

This can occur with the TCM (Transmission Control Module) and/or ECU program. This may require either a re-flash or a program download to the ECU. The ECU program is not a warranty item, but is typically in the $75 to $100 range.

However there is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for the “wrench light”.

TSB 05-14-4

This article supersedes TSB 05-09-15 to update the Issue and Dealer Coding.

FORD:
2003-2005 Thunderbird
2005 Crown Victoria, Mustang
2004-2005 Explorer, F-150
2005 E-Series, Expedition, F-Super Duty
LINCOLN:
2003-2005 LS
005 Town Car, Navigator
MERCURY:
2005 Grand Marquis
2004-2005 Mountaineer

ISSUE:
Some vehicles built 11/29/2004 and prior may exhibit the wrench light on with both P2106 and P2135 diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).

ACTION:
Replace the throttle position sensor (TPS) following the instruction sheet included in the TPS service kit. Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using WDS release B36.11 and higher, or B37.2 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the B37 CD. Calibration files are also available at www.motorcraft.com

I hope this helps!

I have codes p2135 p1295 p2106 can you tell me what they are for

these codes have to do with the corralation between the pedal and the throttle sensor module on the engine. You will need to get it doagnosed to find out what is wrong since the usual culprit cost several hundred dollars.
