SOURCE: driver side power window motor not working

I would buy a Chilton for your car, but I own an Intrepid and the process is pretty dangerous. First of all, if you're not getting power to the motor, a new motor won't help. Also, if the weather stripping is sticking, this will make lowering the window hard. If it is and you need to replace the motor, clamp the regulator into position with vise grips or a C-clamp (This is keep the window from falling down). The motor should just unbolt from the regulator at this point. Again, this is extremely dangerous as the motor holds the regulator in place. You can lose fingers or other body parts trying this stunt. I accept no responsibility for injuries or death, so be careful.

SOURCE: does the 1992 chrysler new

What type of sensor do you mean? I don't think it has sensors like a more modern transmission as far as the VSS, for instance, because it has a speedometer cable in that place and bands.

I think the 1992 Chrysler New Yorker had an older style transmission that didn't use a computer sensor as far as I read, anyway.

Does that answer the question?

Lots of suppliers for aftermarket on line, but go to a chrysler dealer and check price there as well. Sometimes Chrysler/Dodge parts are reasonably priced.

What's your problem?i have a 1992 chrysler new yorker and the power doors are not working. when you try to use the lock/unlock botton nothing happens, howerver when u go over 15mph it tries the sa

First check the ground wire in the door. Then check the connector on the back of the drivers side lock switch for corrosion. If there is, it is easiest to replace the switch. Everything for the power door lock solenoids routes through that drivers door switch.

You can try jumpering the harness connector cavities with a bent paperclip (hold it with a plier when you do as it can get hot). If the locks pop as they should- replace the switch.

Chrysler Imperial 1992 powerwindow wire cut

I just went to 3 parts houses that sell only window regulators, and they don't have the imperial, I was thinking it might be identical to another car in the chrysler line that you could match it up to. You would have to know what you are looking for by taking out the old one. I tried repairing one of these once. It didn't work, ended up replacing them. Hope this helps.
