Always use new head bolts.
1)tighten to 40ft/lbs
2)back off 1/2 turn
3)tighten back to 40ft/lbs
4)tighten an additional 90 degrees
5)tighten an additional 90 degrees.

here are many,many engines with many different size head studs and bolts
if you want an answer you will either have to get a workshop manual for the engine ( best plan as you get details on the way to tension down the head and other info on the vehicle) or give details like engine make ,model ,year car etc.

it depends on the size of the screws. i recommend to set torque as 100lbs for new bolts, 90 for old bolts

I have 4.9L6 need torque specs for cylinder head


for cylinder head the torque is : step 1 55 ft-lb, step 2 65 ft-lb, step 3 85 ft-lb. Rocker arm stud nut or bolt is 17 to 23 ft-lb. and valve cover bolt 72 to 108 in-lb.

Head gasket torque specs


Here you go, I hope this is what you were looking for:

For 1987-94 models, the cylinder head bolts are tightened in 3 progressive steps. Tighten them in the proper sequence as follows:
Step 1: 50-55 ft. lbs. (68-75 Nm) Step 2: 60-65 ft. lbs. (81-88 Nm) Step 3: 70-85 ft. lbs. (95-115 Nm) Let me know if I can assist you with anything else.

Tightening torques

Do not reuse the bolts as they may be stretched.

Cylinder head to engine block
Stage 1: 32Ft-lbs
Stage 2: +90degrees
Stage 3: +90degrees

Cylinder head to lower timing
chain cover: 89in-lbs
