SOURCE: I changed the battery and

At a guess, I'd say that you have got the new battery in back to front. This means that you are hooking the earth wires to the Positive side of the battery.

Instructions on changing the 100 amp battery fuse on my '01 Nissan X-Terra

These bigger fuses are sometimes bolted in. If you are looking at the fuse box under the hood, look on either side of the box. You should see little bolts to remove that will let the 100 amp come out. Oh yeah, disconnect the battery first!!!...Chris

Why was the battery replaced? Theres no reason the the 100 amp fuse to blow unless the alternator is shorted or you hooked up the battery backwards. I think the 100 amp fuse goes to the alternator. If it was hooked up backwards then you may have engine computer damage.

Battery shorted out on the 100 amp fuse now it will not crank

check the ground wires first to see if it is lose. If you know how to use a multimeter and check the voltages of any wires you see would short out the 100 amp fuse so back track from this fuse to the battery.

I need to remove the 100 amp fuse on my 05 toyota tacoma

You need to pull the fuse box out, and loosen the fuse holder panel. This is harder than it sounds, trust me. The 100 amp fuse is bolted in, 10 millimeter bolt. Make sure that battery is DISCONNECTED when you do this.
