sounds like you have a bad temperature sensor in dash or the cable has eitehr broken or come off the heater switch under the dash!!

You need a new thermostat or your thermostat is stuck. Go to the auto parts store and pick you one up for cheap. Their fairly easy to install if you got the tools and are somewhat handy.

Start by flushing your coolant system and replacing your thermostat. You may later find that you have a clogged heater core.
