They did start making vehicles with individual fuses, check your fuse panel, it will clearly display left and right H/light fuses if it is there. good luck.

Check ALL your main fuses, and check to see if there is a fuseable link between the battery and the fuse block. If so you will need to replace the link.

Is there a fuse or something that would cause the headlight bulb to still not work after changing it

Nope... Re check your connections. They may be corroded. Check the wiring back from the headlight plug to make sure nothing has broken or come unconnected.
Good Luck...

My head lights arent working nor low nor high work. fuses are fine and the switch works...

When you say the switch works, what do you mean ?
There is a fuseable link wire and a 10amp fuse that powers the headlight relay. Power then goes thru the dimmer switch to the headlights.
Do you have power in and out of the dimmer switch ?

Headlight doesn't work

Try checking the fusebox under the engine compartment. You should find fuses for both lights in there. also check your light relays also in the same compartment. You might have a bad relay.

1985 Chevrolet S10 electrical issue

check the FUSEABLE LINKS AT THE STARTER
on the big stud you will have about 3 wires they are the( FUSEABLE LINKS) plus the main battery cable
check thoses 3 wires they are most likely the problem
to check them SLIGHTLY PULL ON THE WIRE it will most likely streach and pull apart or there will be BLACK plastic juntions that the wire goes into pull the wire from there
to repair cut the wire pass the BLACK juntions
get NEW FUSEABLE LINK WIRE
USE ONLY HEAT SHRINK **** CONNECTORS tape the wire together
reconnect the 3 wire to the starter
hope this helps

Loss of power to headlights. replaced headlight switch. fuses ok, ground ok. still no power to headlamps, marker lamps, parking, tail, and dome lamps.

Check the fuseable links .. they are a rubbery type wire usually on the back of the alternator or starter motor usually in a group with 3 to 6 of them ..They usually have a black or white piece of plastic where the fuse link attaches to the actual wire .. These wires aka fuseable links usually corrode or rot out at the plastic piece under the insulation you hardly see the break in the wire...good luck..by the way.. these links act as a slow blow fuse in the system...

All lights work inside and out except all headlights will not

check the fusebox, mostly fuses are uite easily recognizable by small icons similar to the icons on the switches on your dashboard, find the one for lighting and verify if it is still proper. If not, replace it.
