2010 vw passat 2.0 sd card error is draining my battery. How can I fix this issue? My car is turned off and my radio turn on and stays on due to this error. Help!

Do you have an SD card in the radio? Take it out and see if that makes the error go away... SD means, "Secure Digital", kind of like a thumb drive.

On my double din stereo it shows **FYTtek firmware A4 update 1.12** Error... Do you guys know how to fix that? It asks to insert a SD card with this firmware.

Go to the manufacturer's site, download the firmware update and put it on an SD Card and plug it into the head unit, and it should upgrade/reinstall the firmware. It may take a while, so leave it alone until it tells you it has completed. It sounds to me like the process was at one time attempted and interrupted. Hence the error message.

I've purchused a 8gb sony sd memory card and when

It may not be formatted in a compatible format supported by your BOSS Audio system. Check the owner's manual of the unit,it should indicate which format it will support. Copy the data currently on the memory card back to a file on your PC/Laptop and reformat the card to match your BOSS unit. Have you tried other memory cards? It is also possible that the card has too large a capacity for the BOSS unit. T

I have an sd card and it do not play, the radio just read on the lcd: memoricard, but it do not has sound

Try the SD card in another audio device. If it does not play in another car or another SD type sound device, then your radio is defective. Most likely if your radio plays other cards, the card is defective.

The audio board is at fault. Take the unit in for repairs at any car dealership. They can send it out for repairs to any center that repairs radios for cars

I hav a "06" dodge ram with a single cd radio I want 2 swap it out w/ a "08" 6 disc radio would there be any problems with doing that or reprogramming of the computer???

your ancient ?? 6 disk changer ?? they went out with the ark and cds .Get yourself a cd player with a usb and SD card .A 1gb sd card holds a lot of music a 4gb usb thingy evan more so why mess around with a cd changer ?????? might as well put the old 8 track player back in.if its a 98 then no problem changing it .Its too old to have the new invention of knocking off the computer this is only to stop non dealer audio shops from fitting new sound systems.Or do what i do in cases like this and mount under dash just like in the 60s

Is an SDHC card compatible with RNS-E

What's the exact RNS model you have, the RNS-510 ? Older equipment only supports SD cards, not SDHC (= SD High Capacity). And what's the exact SDHC card size & type ?

You might wanna try to format your SDHC card using FAT and/or FAT32 and try again. Also make sure the card is in read-only mode (workaround for some older firmware bugs).

And while testing, just use a couple of MP3/WMA files (so don't put tons of files on it) and remove all other files from the device to make sure it's not interfering.

If possible, try an older SD (non SDHC) card and/or contact your Audi dealer for a firmware-upgrade. Since you're having troubles with built-in functionality, this (possible) upgrade should be free of charge.

There are some rumors that some of the newer firmwares will only play DRM-enabled files, so you might wanna try that too (or ask your Audi dealer).
