It sounds like a mode door actuator. Pretty common.

My 2006 Impala has an intermittent loud clicking sound coming from under the dash. It will happen with or without the car running. I am also having trouble keeping charge on my battery.

This is probably the Air Blend Door Actuator. There is a small gear driven motor that opens and closes the various heating and air conditioning vent doors inside the dash. Since you hear it after turning the car off, it is most likely the fresh/recirculating air door, and they are designed to automatically open to allow fresh air in when the car is turned off. The clicking you hear is the sound of the gears slipping inside the actuator. The parts are fairly cheap ($20-$35) and with simple hand tools can be replaced.
Here is a video showing them replacing one on a Monte Carlo, which is basically the same as the Impala:

Put the key in the ignition - don;t turn it yet. Press the odometer reset button until the total mileage shows (not the trip mileage). Then press and hold the odometer in and turn the ignition on - don't start the car just turn it all the way before it starts. You will see dashes across the odometer and once they are gone turn the ignition off and that will reset it.

Sounds like your flasher relay is broken. A lot of people think that because their hazard flashers work that everything is OK, this isn't so. Hazard flashers are on a seperate system, and as such they have their own relay.
You will need to find where your indicator relay is located and replace it with the correct type.

The ac button does not stay on. Is there a quick fix?

Check the button to the right that shows the air circulating in from the outside, or recirculating the air already in the car. On mine, it wont work if you dont have it on the recirculating one....Good Luck!

Clicking noise when using defrost setting

maybe a coin or piece of paper or small screw has fallen into the vent from the top of the dash near the vent holes, where the air comes up to the wind shield
