Question about 2005 Audi A6

1 Answer

My car battery is keep on dying and the dealership told me that it might be my amp or sat radio control module but they are not sure. And i changed my cd changer i bought it from ebay but its not playing cd...it cuts off every two seconds but the radio is working and sometimes the whole mmi unit dont work. They told me that the cd changer is communicating with the car it might be because of amp or the sat radio control but not because of protection on the cd changer. I dont know what should i do now to fi this problem......NEED HELP!!!!

SOURCE: 06 A6 MMI radio switches on and off every few seconds. Bluetooth

Your most (fiber optic) system is inoperative. Its most likely your CD player and the bluetooth is an update issue, if it doesn't take the update then you need to replace your telephone transceiver.

SOURCE: Serious problems with my AUDI Q7 (56) 3.0 TDI SLine MMI and more!

I'm not sure if I have any good advice for you, but my 2007 Q7 4.2 is having the EXACT same MMI issues. Nothing works. The radio is stuck on one satellite channel and cuts out every second. No nav, no CD, not bluetooth. Audi is saying it is MY fault. That I spilled liquid on the instrument panel and dial. That DID not happen, so we are now in the "prove it" stage.

How do you get the radio unlocked vin 3g5db03e12s542777?

Romell: I take it you purchased the vehicle used or forgot the password for the radio. I had a used truck that the battery went dead in and the last owner put a password in for the radio. The only why to unlock the radio is going to a dealership or garage that can remove the passlock password for the radio.

2001 volkswagan passat V6 manuel, Battery will not stay charged, replaced battery and alternator, still dies. Mechanic says "body control Module out" continues small amount of power to dash to drain...

U can measure the amps drained with amp meater.Anything exceding small amounts (0.05!?)must point shortcircuited wires may not blew the fuses, just increase the consume, radio muted on,other consumers (trunk light ,lighter, door danger lamps and so on,etc)Must track the problem before body control module. Many alarms drain large amounts of energy (2-3 days get a older battery out).A back up wire to radio also drain power, blinking leds and others.

have battery checked, sound like battery weak or battery cables loose or battery post and cables need cleaning has a lot of corrossion.make sure you turn off radio before disconnecting negative battery cable if you decide clean battery cables and battery post, reason for turning off radio to keep from locking out radio play code.have battery tested battery volts should be 12.6 volts.

Battery goes dead ,new battery, altenator working

If it goes dead, it has to do with the charging system. Make sure the terminals are cleaned and they have good contact. You may need to redo them or may need new ones. Make sure all wires are correctly on, starter and alternator. Make sure the wires to both are not damaged. Make sure all wires are in the right spot. Make sure nothing is being left on to drain the battery. Make sure your alternator is good Steve. You can start the car and take off your hot side terminal. If the car dies instantly, change the alternator. If it stays on, you have a bad connection in the charging system more then likely. If you have any questions, just let me know.

I have a 2004.5 Volvo S40. The radio won't work (won't change from CD to radio) and when the CD is in it just keeps skipping thru songs. Help! Are there other radios I can put in or fix this one???

I had the same problem a few times. When I took my care in to the dealership for normal maintenance & told them of the radio problem they did a software upgrade on the car and that fixed the problem.
