Ckeck all bulbs by replacing with know good bulb and test to observe problem. Sometimes these bulbs have double filaments and one can break and fall down and contact the other giving strange results.

The brake lights do not work on my c4 2005 when the headlights are on. Can you help

check for a bad earth on the lights. It appears that when you have brake lights then their earth point is working but when the lights are switched on then that earth point is faulty and the power is earthing out through the brake lights which turns them off (opposing current flow)

REAR LIGHTS AND FLASHERS IS NOT WORKING

Hi there
your problem is either Light switch, broken wire from switch or from the fuse box or broken wires from switch to rear end which should run down 1 side of car coming from front to rear via in sill [thats in the side by the seats in side under the carpet either side] or it could be a earth wire broken so remove the rear light cover and turn on the rear light and touch a wire from any metal service to globe holder if it lights the globe then fir a wire to any light to earth and every thing should work.

No parking front or rear, side markers, brake or dash lights.

Sounds like an earth / ground wiring problem at the rear lighting units, when the flashers are on and you press the brake pedal the power is back earthing through the flashers. Check all earth/ground points at the rear lights.....Good luck hope this helps

1988 acccord turn signal acts like light is blown

Check the earth to the offending light unit. Clean all the relevant connections. You could also try fitting a temporary earth cable and watch for any improvement. If you find that there is improvement in the operation of the indicator/flasher make the temporary earth cable permanent.

Signal flasher

Hi, Is this problem with both sides i.e. Left & Right turn or is it just one side?
If it is just the one side, it could be that water has got into your indicator light either the front or back causing the bulb holder to corrode giving you the problem your having.
It also may be that a bulb has blown on the front or back as this can also cause the problem you are having.
The other reason could be that the earth wire, is not earthing on the car properly and if this is the case the earth wire will need finding and undone, so it can be sanded underneath where the earth wire touches the car and doing this will ensure the wire is grounded properly as it can corrode, where the earth strap is bolted to the car. How ever this is the least likely cause of your problem!
Do the signal lights come on and stay on without flashing or do they stay off, but does the signal light on the dash board come on as normal and flash does this also just stay on.
Please let me know and i will be able to assist you further.
