Question about Oldsmobile Intrigue
? Oil light and "Right side Engine light"?
Well you didn't list the miles on the Car but you might have a bad Oil switch/sensor, In which case tell the fuel pump not to give gas.
I was wondering if you have the anti-thief light also on that car..
You might not be starting because it can't read the Chip in some of the GM keys .. The wires in the ignition are Really small and they break after a few years and your locked out..
So 1st, If you do have the Anti-theft light when the key is put in the light should go out after 5 seconds, if it stays on you have a different problem and it thinks your stealing the car with the wrong key..
2, Replace the oil switch on the engine AFTER checking the fuse/relay on fuel pump.. however remember just because the fuse is good, Make sure you have power to the the fuse, some other sensor in the Engine may not want to start to keep you for damaging the engine.. BCB...

If oil pressure is LOW this vehicle has a safety feature that will prevent vehicle from starting.(check oil level before you start) Now what I wan't you to do is to have the oil pressure switch checked or changed. This may be the reason why this vehicle is not starting or it can also be that the actual oil pressure is low. To check the oil pressure of the vehicle you will need an oil pressure guage. Remove the oil pressure switch and connect guage to oil pressure hole and check oil pressure while cranking vehicle. Some pressure testers can be connected to oil filter housing either is fine. If this vehicle has low oil pressure the reasons for that are bad oil pump, clogged oil pump pick up(from lack of oil change/poor mantainence) or bad connecting rod and main bearings but this usually have a warning from before (the engine will sound loud by knocking /clicking-tapping noise) It this was happening you may need to rebuild this engine or replace it. Good luck and Thanks for using FIX YA

i would look at the starter relay on the starter. it also supplies power to the ignition and starter. might be bad. good luck.

Have you changed the fuel filter lately? If not do so. Sounds like fuel restriction. Filter usually on frame rail passenger side. Good luck!
