Possible fuel pump. This is normal when a pump is starting to go on its way out! Once it is hot and the vehicle stalls out, push on the valve in the fuel rail to see if any fuel comes out. Looks like a tire valve in the engine bay. Be careful here as if it is good, there will be pressure there. Wear goggles when doing this!

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

SOURCE: Intermittent fuel pump engagement when turning key - 2001 Taurus

try cleaning the connector that goes to the fuel pump, sometimes they corrode on inside. If that does not fix, test the wires feeding fuel pump with a multi meter until the condition shows itself again, if voltage drops to zero or very low then wiring problem, if voltage is unchanged with problem and fuel pump is not working and connectors are all clean, try replacement of fuel pump.

SOURCE: I need a replacement keys for 2001 ford taurus

A good place to start is a ford dealer. Often they can cut you a key off the VIN number. You will have to go there in person., and some kind of proof of ownership would be needed!

My 2001 ford taurus recently started to overheated even I drove, I kept filling with water. I was on my way to the store to get a thermostat when the engine started making a clicking noise when I would ...

I would take the thermostat out and leave it out, and make sure the cooling system is full.
Drive it to a shop or parts store and get the computer scanned for trouble codes. The codes will point you in the direction of what to look for.
Once you take care of the check engine light problems you can try putting the new thermostat back in.

Ford taurus 2001 car start but once the car is cut off it won't start up again until it cools off the car is not running hot.

After you kill it, when you try to start it back up, does the starter turn the motor? Or is it froze up (will not turn over)?

1999 ford taurus is overheating. Head gaskets have been replaced and it takes awhile for the cooling fan to turn on. What else could be the problem?

Are you sure the head gaskets needed to be replaced was it to stop the leak? Go to an auto parts store leave a deposit and use the tool for free. One tool has a cap that fits on the cooling system and has a pump on top You pump the system up to 15 pounds and look around the engine and the radiator for leaks. This is what your repair shop should have done before they replaced head gaskets. Putt a meat thermometer in the radiator when it is cold start engine. Let run. Put hand on upper radiator hose when the thermostat is starting to open the hose will turn hot right away the thermometer will read 180 to 195 If the engine starts to over heat the thermostat is bad but if it opens the temp will slowly rise to 200 to 215 that will be fully open and around here the fan will turn on and cool the engine down( make sure the air is off or one fan will be on all the time) if fan comes on late replace temp sensor for radiator. If everything works the radiator is probably plugged

My 97 Ford Taurus 3.0L V-6 idles ruff when warm, and will sometimes die. You can start it and go and it does fine until you shut the car off. When you restart, before the car cools down, it doesn't want to...

Yes and the way it runs.
Disconnect and plug the vacuum lines to the EGR, and see if you still have idle and driveability issues. If not replace the Valve.

Looking for the location of the egr sencor for a ford 2001 taurus egine light is on solid car is bucking not stalling yet would like to clean it now. Thank you

Usually a bad or dirty EGR valve will cause an engine to stall when it is warm and it will not start until it cools down. In some cases the EGR won't trigger a check engine light. If the car stumbles at low rpm and then is fine at higher rpm, I would replace the spark plugs and wires. The EGR is located on or near the intake. It will have a vacuum hose connected to it and usually 2 bolts holding it in place. It looks like a handbell from a bicycle. You can also look up on the internet what the EGR valve looks like for a 2001 Ford Taurus. Please rate me on this answer.

Wont start after it warms up

Your fuel pump relay on top of the radiator might be defective. This also runs the cooling fans.
