Fuel lines are made of steel and they rust out. When you try to cut out the rusty section, it will fracture further along and you will be chasing all along. Fuel leaks cause fires, replace the whole fuel line if it leaking from a metal line. You can get them ready formed.

check for fuel pressure or listen for fuel pump operation in fuel tank when you turn ignition switch to on position for ten seconds. if no could have faulty fuel pump fuse or relay pump could have failed.if yes hear fuel pump running could have plugged fuel filter. if fuel system okay problem could be ignition system.have vechicle code scan look for fault codes.could have faulty ignition module faulty camshaft sensor or crankshaft position sensor.faulty PCM.

It has an In-tank Pump. Electrical with built on filter sock.

CHANGE AIR FILTER.CHECK TIRES AIR PRESSURE.CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS UNDER THE HOOD AROUND ALL FUEL LINES AT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND CHECK FOR GAS LEAKS AROUND FUEL TANK WHERE ALL FUEL LINES LOCATED.

i have a shop and we have had several cobalts come in with a fuel leak. the lines from the fuel pump assembly on the top of the gas tank is platsic and has either been cracked and broken. it sucks cause there haven't been any afetrmarket set ups to replace it and we had to order a new pump assembly from the dealer. hope this helps

should be on passengers side near rear of engine bay tube should be about 1/2 inch diameter and stick down an inch made of black rubber

Sounds like your fuel Injector's. Go to the dealer and let them listen to they sympton. More than likely they will tell you that it's your injectors that need replacing.
