Question about 2006 Dodge Stratus
You have to access the cigarette lighter assembly from behind its mounting. The lighter is clamped in place by a round metal shell with threads. Twist the shell clockwise to tighten the lighter assembly.

Testimonial: "That is my problem, I cant get the mount behind to catch the threads of the metal outer casing. The back mount gets pushed back too far for it to do. I think I need to get in there to hold the back mount steady to catch the threads."

it usually runs on the same fuse as the radio & interior light which is the accessories fuse, if these two things still work you may have another problem with the wiring, you might need to pull the lighter out & check the wiring.....hope this helps.....cheers

The lighter base is held on with a threaded sleeve from the back. You would need to get access to the back of the socket to remove it.
You can look at a new part to see how the sleeve is attached.
