I take it the water level in the expansion tank is ok. You could have a blocked core in the heater. Also the heater could be leaking. You could try flushing the cooling system and checking for leaks and blockages.

Hi, this is usually due to a failed blend door actuator, but it can also be the door itself. Look under the dash (around the middle) and find the actuator pictured below. Remove the actuator from the heater box, and check to see if you can turn the door hinge by hand. If not, you will have to remove the heater box and repair the door. If it works OK by hand, try reconnecting the actuator to see if the gear turns when you change the temperature setting. If not, remove the connector again and check to see if there is power on the pink wire with a black stripe when the key is on. If there is no power, repair the wire from the fuse box to the actuator connector. If there is power, replace the actuator. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.
