Central locking problems

Good morning...! I'm having an issue with my 2007 ML350 locking system. When the vehicle is in motion it will lock itself as it would normally do. The problem is that after a coouple of minutes it will unlock itself while driving. Regardless if I lock it back, it will eventually unlock itself again. While the system is unlocked (while driving) you can hear a little noise coming from the doors, as if the system is trying to lock itself back, but unable to. Could you pleae assist and let me know what should I do...? Thanks...!

Good morning
Check if one of the doors is poorly closed, includes the rear cargo
Also check the pushbuttons of each door that turns on the interior light

SOURCE: audi a4 1995 central locking problem

Hi there.
I had exactly the same problem and there are 2 ways of solving it. The first is to pay your Audi Service Centre £350-£550 to replace it for you and the second way is to do it yourself which will cost well under £100 (depending on ebay). Firstly check the Central Locking Pump to make sure the hoses haven't come off. This is located in the very back right hand corner of the boot so you will need to remove the carpet and internal trim and you will see a block of sponge. Carefully lift the top off this and you will see the pump sat inside it.
Actually there is a great set of photos online to help you and I will add the link for you at the end. If the hoses are still connected and not leaking it is very likely that the internal compressor wheel has shattered (quite a common fault). I believe it is possible to open the pump and replace this wheel (in fact there is one for sale on a very popular auction site at the moment) but my own preference was to simply buy a whole new pump and replace that (£16.00 + £8 p+p off the same auction site).
The most important thing for you to remember is that when you look to buy a replacement pump you need to find one with the EXACT same serial number. The one in the diagram shown is
8LO 862 257 N but I have a sneaky feeling yours might end in an A.
Anyway, I hope this is of some help and dont worry about the connections as both air connectors and all 3 electrical ones are different sizes and will only fit in one place each.
Good luck.
Rik

SOURCE: Passenger door won't unlock

Flip the power lock switch on your dash (twice). Once only unlocks the drivers side door, twice unlocks the passenger side door and the hatchback. Good luck!

SOURCE: Nissan Micra 04. The central locking is making a noise

Hi there, this is a very common fault, what ever side door the noise is coming from you need to replace the door actuator to cure the noise, Ive done loads of these, not sure how much it is though, hope this helps.

Holden rodeo 2007 central locking not working but passenger side indicator responding had a new battery recently but don't know if this has caused the problem as I have only just purchased the vehicle

Check the fuse covering the central locking system to ensure it is sound. (refer owners manual for its location in your vehicle). If OK, disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and then reconnect and check the operation of the locking system with your key pad.

Why my trunk wont close ? lights stays on

remove the bulb to save your battery, have you given it a good push down ? if this doesnt work either the catch has stayed in the locked position or needs adjusting , try unlocking the vehicle with the fob a notice what happens at the trunk lock mechanism , if there is no movement i'd check the fuse box , the lod/cover should give list other wise see owners hand book

use the car key itself from outside the vehicle with everything closed: use key in drivers door outside door lock and manually lock and unlock the door. check if fixed, may have to do a few times. i do believe the vehicle is in theft mode.
