SOURCE: 2005 mazda six. car working fine one day next day

When ever a batter this new goes bad, it is either because it is not being charged, because there is something wrong with the charging system, or there is a constant drain even when the key is off.

To check the latter, with everything off, you remove a battery cable and see if the is any glow from a test light between the post and the cable. If there is, then you have something on that should not be, all the time. Then you pull fuses and disconnect things until it goes off.

To check if the charging system is not working, the easiest way it is to borrow a battery to get it started, (don't jump start a car if you can avoid it, because you can ruin an alternator when it starts, because it will kill itself trying to charge up that bad battery.) With the lights on, rev up the engine. They should get slightly brighter. Of with a volt meter, see it go from 12.5 to 13.5 volts, or so. If it does not go up, then your battery is all that was powering the car, and it won't last long like that.

SOURCE: mazda 6 immobiliser light flashing

Immobilisers may intercept one of three circuits; typically the low-voltage ignition circuit and the fuel pump circuit. Some may also intercept the low-current starter motor circuit from the key switch to the relay. The Immobilisers can be set to intercept these circuits IF you use a key that has been copied or someone tried to start the car with the key for another car. Once activated, most of the time they are on a timer, meaning they will reset in 10 to 20 minutes. You can try and reset yours by disconnecting the battery, remove both cables and touch the two cables together for ten minutes. Now if you have a radio that needs codes to reset it be sure you have the codes before disconnecting the battery. Some Immobilisers use a magnetic switch to turn off the car. buy disconnecting the battery and touching the cables together you will kill the magnetic field and reset it. Hope this helps fixya up.

I need a 1998 mazda 323 ba immobiliser bypass key or another solution to start my car. Can anyone help me?

I know this question is old but I recently encountered a similar problem with my 1995 323 BA and this may help someone else. Override the immobilizer by doing the following:

open the car via the drivers door
put the key in the ignition
turn the key to ACC
now turn the key to ON
repeat the last 2 steps X 12 quickly (ignore the indicators flashing and the central locking activating).
the dashboard should be lighting up as normal.
Now turn the key to START

there are so many security systems that its hard to tell without the model of car. but you can go to a dealership, and they should be able to give you a readout on how to reset system for your vehicle. just tell them you need a printout of how to reset anti-theft system. have a good day !!

Have just purchased a 2006 Mazda 6 Atenza and noticed that there is a light on the dashboard that is continually blinking - it is a car with a key symbol in it. I refered to the manual but it is in...

This symbol is normally the car electronic immobiliser symbol and should not be lit once the car is started.

If it keeps on flashing and the electronic immobiliser is installed properly, it will prevent your car from being started.

Flashing symbols means immobiliser code is invalid or uncoded.
Hope the information is useful.

First: alarm went off on its own.(mazda 6 2003). Now when locking and unlocking car sometimes indicators flash and sometimes not. Now red immobaliser light is flashing on dash when driving, then stops...

there is often a small back up battery in the immobiliser unit itself, if you can locate this unit and replace the battery with the ignition on / engine running, then it should not need recoding and work fine after that. The other thing that could be wrong is the key battery (if the fob has one) or the transponder chip in the key head. If the key signal is low the immobiliser lamp will light during driving, but this does not explain the alarm going off. That is more likely either a poor vehicle battery, alarm / immobiliser back up battery, or another electrical fault such as water leakage into a tail-light or even the alarm unit itself when it rains. A lot of alarms are voltage sensing and when the vehicle is parked they will alarm if the battery voltage changes for any reason, though not during driving so the battery in the immob is my first choice to look at.
