sounds like a mouse has got in and chewed the cables,their is no easy fix from what i can think of but check all the wires and connections in case water has got into it,or snow if your in alaska.its fifteen years old now so its possible that some insulation has broken down or a wiring loom has chaffed somewhere underneath

Mine was the o2 sencor on the pipe not on Cadillac Converteri sprayed p B a blast on it and it started blowing then ish infuse because I tryed for 2months to get the o2 sencer off well right afterI sprade it. It started blowing the fuse. I unpluged it and I stoped so check your try unpluging i

same problem check everything found heater hose under the thermostat had small leak unplug alternator blow out water from plug too. seem to solve problem
