SOURCE: Can't get the starter out of a 1991 Nissan pickup.

The second bolt is hidden way up and tucked in near the solenoid. You need to setup a ratchet with extensions/socket (14mm) combination that is just a little longer than the starter motor. If you just can't picture where the bolt is, then go down to the parts store and look at/purchase the replacement starter to see how it mounts up.
There are two bolts for the starter mount and one nut for the main starter power lead. There is one plug for the starter key switch.
Disconnect plug. Loosen lower bolt. Remover upper bolt. Remove lower bolt. Twist starter so you can remove main power cable nut (be sure to have disconnected the battery first!) Pull starter.

Ihave a 1991 nisan pickup 2.4

Could be a bad chain guide or tensioner.I've got a 85 Nissan 720 4x4 2.4 with a Weber carb.Had her since 1993.It had 108,000 miles on it when I got it.Not long afterwards,Carb went bad,no one could rebuild it,tried 3 places. Finally took to Nissan Dealer, they told me that the carb was a bad design and they could not rebuild, they told me it was junk, they were right, not long afterwards motor went bad,so I got a remanufactured Jasper motor, with 3 year-or 100,000 mile warranty, got it in 2009,I now have 61,000 miles on it with a new Weber carb and it runs awesome, never ever had a timing chain issue, speedo now has 344,000 miles on it.Had the engine installed by a Jasper engine installer,a pro, seems like whoever has been putting timing chains in your engine is clueless on these 2.4 engines, our Nissan's have a history of head gaskets blowing, never timing chain issues. Here is a link on how to replace your Timing chain. Nissan maxima 1991 ve30 timing chain diagramme

That is a V6 engine. It has a timing belt and not a chain. Here is a picture that I hope helps.

Be careful because the pistons will hit the valves if the timing isn't set right.

Do 1994 Nissan 4 cylinders need a new timing belt at 90,000 to100,000 Miles??

Your Nissan does not have an interference engine, meaning when the belt breaks it will not ruin your engine. In fact Gates hose and belts doesn't even list a timing belt for that engine which makes me think that you have a timing chain instead. Timing chains seldom break so unless your having some issue that make you think it needs replacing I would just drive it.

Should you replace the timing chain in a 1995 2wd pickup and if so how often

timing chains in most cases never need be repalced for the life of the engine, timing belts on the other hand last about 60,000-100,000 miles.
