I have the same problem..but i fixed that. if u have the same type with mine; TCL split type ac, TAC-42CF/A,380V 3N~. Then u can try this.
1. open indoor panel.
2. find 2 cable in socket pcb that is p11 And P12, u plug p12 on p11,and p11 on p12.
3. if not solved, try the same just like point 2 on power suply 3phase cable R.S.T try S to R, or else.
4. hopefully ur problem solved.
no way you need a new rad to solve this one the internal tube has split or broke ,just disconnect the pipes and seal the rad connections up with a couple of blanking plugs to stop the water leaking out then the transmission pipes you make a nice sort square round out of some copper plumbing pipe and connect this to the transmission pipes from the gearbox run in front the AC rad and this will save you from buying a new rad which the last time i bought one for this motor was about 550 euros as i couldnt one made by a recon company only original part from deal;er
the easiest thing to do is take it to an auto parts store and use their scanner on it. I think maybe you need to have the ignition switch turned to accessories when you push F1 and F6. Hope this helps tim
I own a Mercedez E 200 petrol 1999 model also caleed the 210 model. I got the AC cooler replaced as there was a leak. I started the car and came home. the next morning the car did not start as if the battery was down but I find that the lights are working and even the horn is working.

hi BE SHURE TO CHECK THE FREON GAS YOU ARE FILING IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE R12 IN THE SISTEM.THE R12 IS THE ORIGINAL FREON GAS THAT MODEL CAME WITH.IF THE AC SISTEM IS EMPTY THE AC COMPRESOR WILL NOT OPERATE UNTIL IT HAVES SOME GAS PRESURE SO WHEN YOU FILL THE SISTEM WITH THE FIRST BOTLE OF FREON IT WILL AUTOMATICALY START TO OPERATE ON AND OFF UNTILL THE SISTEM IS FULLY CHARGE
no its a bit difficult,another problem could be venturi/restrictor in the entrance to the interior rad for the AC ,if the back one is working then so should the front one ,your man is right it could be a trampilla ,sorry forgot the word in english ,been living in spain too long but this is the vacumn operated valve ,could have a split vac pipe as well that operates the trampilla
