Plugs and wires 2005 mercury sable

What engine do you have, I will assume a DOHC V6, the DOHC V6 doesn't have spark plug wires, each spark plug (located under the igntion coil) has its own separate ignition coil, it is called direct ignition. You unbolt the coil and remove it with the attached spark plug boot and then you remove the spark plug from the cylinder and replace, do one at a time.

Mercury sable 2003 misfire

1) Google the code with the car model; read the troubleshooting tips
2) replace the spark plug on 3 cylinder if worn out;
3) need to check the el wire condition which supplies el to cylinder 3 - might need to replace the whole wiring el . Package...
4) erase the code once the parts are replaced.

it will be better to replace all spark plugs at once

Be safe when working on el .parts

My sable is backfiring and lacks power sometimes with jerks

Hi,
It sounds like you have a timing issue. One question I would have to ask, is if recently, have the spark plugs or plug wires been replaced. Sometimes a plug wire can be snapped onto the wrong plug or into the wrong spot on the distributor.
Else I would have the timing checked. This could be a quick fix for you. I'm hoping so... Good luck!

Locating and replacing a camshaft sensor in a 2005 dodge neon

this is a very very simple procedure. you do not need pics. there is a sensor located at the end of the engine on the far side from the belts. at the top. it has a plug with two wires in it. just remove the two 10mm bolts un hook the plug and reverse the process to reinstall. if you have a factory intake you may have to remove it to access this sensor. just the intake tube.

Spark Plug replacement instructions

It really is that hard, (1.5 hours) no special tools required except a good assortment of hand tools and flex head extensions. Buy a plug boot removal tool, if you tear the plug wire boots you will really be in a pickle. I never took the fuel lines loose, did the job many times, but my hands looked like hamburger when I was done.

You're approaching 120k miles, and usually a timing belt would be due around every 60k, so you should prepare for that. That's the really comprehensive service that includes a LOT of parts and labor - timing belt, tensioner, accessory belt(s), spark plugs, all fluids, all filters, water pump, thermostat, full inspection, tire rotation, etc.
