Most transmission problems happen right after someone touches the transmission fluid. Sometimes it is overfilled and you need to let some fluid out Check the transmission dipstick (only when the transmission is warmed up) verify that it is the right level. You may need an additive to help clean the pith-balls in the transmission so that they open and close properly. The whole thing sounds like slipping bands, ask a transmission expert about that. I don't know why it is missing unless you also got gasoline that has too much methanol... I am not an expert... Just thinking out loud

SOURCE: trans slips only on left turns. Will a new trans

the trans filter and fluid is not the issue. a trans. will not slip upon any turn. your problem lies with either a bad drive axle on that side, or a bad wheel bearing. i would bet dollars to donuts that it is the drive axle....and i LOVE my donuts!!!!

First check transmission dip stick for correct fluid level. Next schedule a transmission filter change. This should have been done at 60,000miles

Why won't it accelerate past 10 mph?

which engine? is traNS AUTOMATIC OR STICk?
IS TRANS STUCK IN 1ST GEAR?>
hot or cold? or both (engine temp)
is transmission slipping? (if stick clutch slip)
(eg: engine rpm races, and speed dont increase) called slip.
is it slipping?
or is engine misfiring? (tune up, times skipped?)
or is engine bogging, (feels like dragging 10,000 pounds)?
the engine light means, (get car serviced now)
or if savvy and a DIY person, it means SCAN it now.
easy huh>?

its trying to talk to you, so listen to it and scan it.
then post the DTC errors.
keep in mind we are deaf and blind here. so miss 99% of all key facts, and evidence on car. that your living mechanic sees , feels and hears.,
so dont expect magic here, there will never be that, here.

How to change the auto trans oil & filter

get a pro full flush or only 1/3 the ATF will be changed.

drop pan, (huge flood if no drain plug)
replace filter.
put back new gasket with pan. (add drain plug now if missing)
connect full flush system to lines on trans.
turn on flush sys.
then follow instructions on said system.

the DIY way (done many a time.
is same but add in back the same exact oil drained
then drive 10 miles.
drain/fill again,(plug pull) if not pink
repeat until ATF looks pink/red, or till tummy feels happy.

If it slips it will slip worse with clean fluid

Transmission slipping

Did you check the trans oil level. When you changed
the RADIATOR you will loose some trans oil.
If the transmission oil was low when you changed
the radiator it's lower now. Check it now.
Now, if thats not the problem. With that many miles
have you changed the trans oil lately theirs a filter
above the trans oil pan that may be pluged up change
it and the oil. Also, buy a can of trans X it's the only fix
in a can stuff I"LL use.

I have oil in radiator ,transmission slips

Does the oil in the radiator look reddish? likely it does...You most likely have a failure inside the radiator where the trans cooler coil runs through it. Replace radiator and have trans fluid changed and flushed. If slipping continues trans will need a rebuild. (hope not)

Transmission problem

your trans oil most likely needs changing. it should be changed every 50,000 mile. over time the fluid breaks down and the trans mission slips. your trans is operated by pressure and when it is hot he pressure drops because the oil is not as thick as it should be this is refered as viscoscity. In the mean time until you get it changed, you can buy an additive from Napa for around 10.00 dollars to put in the trans. it's made by Lucas Oil and it works for the slipping in the short term. please rate this
