Question about 2006 Kia Sedona

1 Answer

The air conditioner will not turn off on my 2006 Kia Sedona EX. Air blows cold, but no matter where you set the control knobs for A/C system or fan controls, air continues to flow at a constant rate, even with main knob in the "Off" position. A/C button and Recirculate button do nothing when you push them....green lights stay on next to them. Any ideas at all?

If yu didn't already try, make sure your setting is not on defrost or defrost floor. This car automatically puts the setting on ac and recirculation. Turn it he setting off defrost and try again

Testimonial: "No, not on defrost although that button does seem to work. When I hit the defrost button the light does go on and off but doesn't seem to affect anything. Thank you for the suggestion."

SOURCE: heater blower motor does not work all the time kia

you need to gently remove the wood trim around center dash, there is a screw in the bottom of the ash tray to remove, then 4 screws to remove control center, each of the side wires have a small push buton on them to release, once free there are two screws on the back of the fan control knob.

The A/C will not turn off on my 2006 Kia Sedona EX. Air blows cold, but no matter where you set the control knobs for A/C system or fan controls the A/C stays on. Even with knob in the OFF position.

Looking under the hood in engine compartment with engine running A/C off , the compressor is engaged ? If so , the A/C compressor clutch relay is stuck closed energizing the compressor clutch all the time . Now if your talking about the blower inside the car running all the time , air blowing out of the vents . The A/C isn't engaged . Could be blower motor relay stuck or the control module is bad .

Kia Sedona- center and third row heating vents blowing cold air

This model has a rear heat/cold blend door actuator. Its an electric motor that moves the duct door from hot to cold. When they wear out, they're usually stuck on the last setting

Kia Sedona- center and third row heating vents blowing cold air

There is a separate button on the lower dash labeled RR HTR for the rear heater. If you do not engage the switch it will blow cold air.

I took my wife's Kia Sedona in for service at a Kia dealer. He told me the timing belt need to be changed before 60,000 miles. Is this true?

Timing belts do need to be changed at mileage intervals set by the manufacurer. 60,000 miles sounds about right. Failure to change it may cause it to wear out and fail. Should that happen, you can cause serious damage to the engine up to needing a replacement. Look in your owners manual and it should give you the "service intervals".
