SOURCE: How do u wire I'n a 1972 ford f100custom truck

Sorry iam a thick brit having problems with your spelling which as we all know we cannot spell in the UK or pronounce aluminium or tomatoes so the man to ask is emmisionwiz as hes a ford dealer fitter with enough years under his belt to know exactly what you need to know ,so try a direct question ,but for this year with a seperate regulator why not try a alternator off a later model with a built in regulator ,as for the starter motor then a wire from the contact switch on the back of the key switch that has power when the key is turned to the start position and this wire goes to the small terminal on the starter motor .I do not the facility of a fancy pen thing attached to my computer that i can draw a quick pic for you .

Van alternator/voltage regulator

does the van starts after is quits, does it crank or does the engine turnover?

I've changed the alternater,starter, voltages

Troubleshoot first and then change parts! What was the original problem? It just won't crank over? The alternator just charges the battery the voltage regulator keeps from putting too much of a charge into the battery. Was the battery going dead? Did the vehicle start when jumping it with jumper cables? Too many unanswered questions to offer help, sorry.

I have engine from 1984 ford crown victoria. it isnota a302 ci. i was told it is a 351 windser when i brought it. how many engine size came with the 1984 crown vic? or what engine do i have?

Crown Victorias that year came with two engine options.
The regular Crown Vic had a 302 cubic inch engine.
The Police version had a 351W.
The 351W is a much better, stronger engine.
The easiest way to tell at a glance is to see if you can access the bottom thermostat housing bolt with a socket. If you can it's a 351W. If you can only get a wrench on that bolt, then it's a 302.

I over turned the steering on my ford 350 econoline van and it stalled and now it dosen't start,Alternater light goes on when turn egnition key on.I cleaned battery posts solenoid posts ground cable to...

Does the starter solenoid at least click?
If not, then solenoid is the problem.
If it does click, then could be starter, low battery, or something else we would walk through.
Ford usually has a round starter solenoid on the fender near the starter, but not part of it.
Fords also sometimes need to have the engine turned a bit by hand, to get it past a spot where the bendix binds.

STALLS WHEN BATTERY CABLE IS PULLED GOOD ALTENATER AND BATTERY

If the vehicle stalls when you pull the battery cable loose from the battery the alternator can not be good because the car would stay running. You have an issue with the charging system, Possible voltage regulator which is in the alternator. Have the alternator taken of the van and tested a the parts house.
