Do a compression test, you could have a bad valve or head gasket. Did you replace the spark plugs?

Next change swap the injector with another and see of the problem moves.  If it does it's a bad injector.

99 rx 300 I have trouble codes p0300, p0301, p0303, p0305, po172, and p0171.Stomped

codes p 0300 through refer to misfires on each cylinder with the end number ( 301 is no 1 cylinder , 302 is no 2 cylinder ans so on)=== causes --engine mechanical fault , ---wiring---ignition/ fuel ---injector/s---ECT/ MAF sensor/s ---ECM
most misfires are from injector faults like dirty/blocked tips, low fuel pressure , no pulse or problem pulse from ECM rather than plugs and wires and coils
codes p0171 refers to system to lean bank 1===causes ---intake exhaust leak---air system---maf/vaf sensors ---fuel pressure / pump---injectors ---heated oxygen sensor ( HO2S)
code p 0172 is system to rich-====causes ---intake blocked ---EVAP cannister purge valve ---fuel pressure --EGR system---injector/s ---HO2S
couple these two codes with the misfire codes , I suggest you look at the injectors, fuel pressure (too low) from EVAP problem not venting tank, fuel pressure regulator, EGR system

I Have a 1999 Grand Marquis that's misfiring losing power high fuels smell come from tail pipe. While driving for a min check engine light blink on in off put it on a machine in it told me

If you have no exhaust converter:

You are violating Federal Regulations
You can not go to inspection
Your poluting the air
You have no place for your oxygen sensors to go,so you
have no fuel control at all & thus it has a misfire

No vehicle can be used like that

There is no test equipment that tells you what is wrong

You have to use the data to find a problem

Why would there be no converter on the car?

Periodic misfire on a 2001 4.6 merc. Gd Marquis

if it does it just as you start to go up hill just before it downshifts from over drive it is most likely your plugs or a weak ignition coil mine did the same thing and a good set of plugs fixed write up.

All of a sudden my 2004 mercury grand marquis with 55000 miles idles rough. Not really noticeable when driving but do believe there is a lack of power and mpg seems to have declined. Can u help???

The vehicle is 7 years old

The spark plugs should have been changed at 60,000
Gas filter every 3 years
Air Filter every 3 years or sooner
The MAF Sensor cleaned every year
By now the O2 Sensors are slow to respond
If they have 100,000 change the front 2 sensors
Check TPS Voltage
Check Fuel Pressure at the fuel rail
Egr Valve most likely bad
If you have COP Ignition Coils, they may be misfiring,
common ford problem

Unrelated--change trans and power steering fluids
every 3 years, never go over 30,000 miles on any vehicle
