See if your belt is still on there. Sounds like you threw a fan belt (serpentine belt or drive belt)

If you can turn the pump pulley by hand, likely it's OK... If so, change the belt. if not, you know what you need to do.

The sound should indicate low fluid. Your power steering fluid should be red...may look black depending on how old. Your manual will tell you where to fill.

check if the battery is discharged. did u leave the car idle for a longtime and the battery might have got discharged in meanwhile ?
