The copper is probably the tracking from the printed circuit board. If it has a crack in it then put a little solder across the crack like a bridge. Replace the blown fuses too.

If the copper is peeling off a circuit board, that means either the component overheated, or was water damaged. Either way it's dead, sorry.

SOURCE: I have two check engine lights on P0303 and P0422

A good start would be to go you the Diagnostic Trouble Codes list at

The DTC's, also known as fault codes, may have other meanings but the list above should point you in the right direction.

Hope this helps - if so a rating would be really appreciated. If is doesn't then "add a comment" instead and I will try to help you further.

SOURCE: 1995 dodge dakota 2wd 3.9 no spark to plugs,or coil,orfuelpump

First of all let's explain how the spark gets to the plugs. There is a crankshaft position sensor and a cam sensor. They are what determines when to fire the coils and injectors. The crank sensor is located on the passenger side on top of the bellhousing, the cam sensor is the pickup plate in the distributor. As the engin turns the send refernece pulses to the computer which grounds and ungrounds the ignition coil causing it to discharge and send voltager from the secondary coil wire to the center tower in the distributor cap. The rotor button recieves the voltage and distributes it to the 6 towers (1 for each cylinder) If you say you're getting spark from the rotor that tells me the primary side of the ignition system is working, and the secondary side is working into the distributor cap. I'd check for spark out of the plug wires at the plugs. Pull a wire and insert a #2 phillips screwdriver into it, hol the shaft of the screwdriver aprox 1/8"(no more) from the exaust manifold and observe the spark as someone turns over the engine. You should see a nice blue spark. If theres spark, spray a little gum cutter in the throttle body an crank it, if it fires you have a fuel problem. Install a fuel pressure gauge on the schrader valve on the fuel rail and observe it as you crank it. If theres no fuel pressure maks sure there's fuel in the tank, if so climb underneath and beat on the bottom of the tank with a rubber hammer, the pump may be going bad, sometimes you can jar them and make them run.

SOURCE: 2004 envoy xuv tailgate problems

I also have a 2004 GMC XUV. My gate would go down but not swing open. In trying to fix it, the gate then refused to go to the flat position.I have removed the cover plate on the gate and found the one of the solenoids loose from its mounting. Resetting the computer by disconnecting both battery leads and holding them together for ten seconds worked to restore function to the gate going flat, but the swing still does not work. I believe it is a bad solenoid or motor for the bottem left latch pin.

I removed and cleaned the EGR valve and ran for about 5 days, then took it to my mechanic friend, he check it with his system and gave me the result: EGR and the rest of other status = complete, except for...

Diagnose the codes you have

Ask the mechanic for an education on
working on OBD2 Systems

Road Test with scan tool & actually see the data
& the Emission Monitors run & look at freeze frame
data when codes are set

Spend some time at the shop with the mechanic

I would have replaced the EGR Valve

Have no idea what you would clean & expect
to work, after many years miles & lots of carbon

My battery went dead and after i charged the battery the air conditioning does not cool

What happens is, you have a battery and an alternator. The alternator charges the battery when the engine is running. It can only put out so many amps at 12 volts. A/C compressor runs off the engine, but the clutch for it is electric, and the blower fan is electric. When these are running, unless the car engine is running at above idle RPM's, your alternator may not be actually putting out enough amps to run the A/C AND charge the battery. So it is possible for the battery to go dead, especially if you start the car more than a couple times with out letting the battery charge. It happened to a friend of mine. He delivered newspapers, and it was a hot summer day. His A/C was on, plus, his car had 2 electric fans for the radiator. He was only idling along delivering his papers, and at one point he shut his car off. When he went to re-start, it was dead. He called me and I gave him a jump start, and told him to go for a ride down the expressway, to charge his battery. You see the A/C took say 30 amps, then each cooling fan for his radiator took say 20 amps a piece, then add in the stereo, and the power it takes to fire the spark plugs, and there wasn't enough left to charge the battery. Most cars these days only have 100 amp alternators. Older cars have less

2009 cargo van chevy 2500-- cant find fuse for left directionals

first never plug back in to that trailer, it may have bad wiring, the next thing to do is to check the front and rear bulbs, they may have blown,if it was a fuse the signal inside would not blink,so this tells me you may have blown the bulbs, and also this trailer is unhooked from the van and lights still dont work?. good luck.

Left side only speakers stopped working for a 2002 Hyundai Accent

you probably pulled the left speaker wires apart when trying to get it out. there should be enough slack in the wires to pull out or they wouldn't have been able to hook them up. the only way to fix it is to take the player out. if you don't think you can do it have someone who can do it. ( the wires might just be caught up on something, try wiggling a little to free them)

One key doesnt work, has a new battery. Passenger door never locks.

it's posssible that the key will need a recode - even though it has a new battery. I had the same with an Audi. Took it to a friendly dealer who gave it the code and away I went !
