SOURCE: fuel pressure regulator had no vacuum line connected

another engineers wet dream. think of it this way . what is normally in the intake when the engine is running.. answer vacume, hence the regulator gets its vacume without a hose connected to it as its already in a full time vacume chamber.no hose required . ps be carefull to seat the regulator and o rings securely into the housing befor you reattach the secureing metal clip.
good luck chris

SOURCE: 1993 chevy lumina van acts like it is out of gas

The question is how much pressure is actually getting to the fuel rail and engine. Ideally you should test the pressure at the rail to see how much pressure you're actually getting. If it's fuel injected it should be around 50 - 60 lbs, carbuerated should be much lower. Depending on the outcome, possibilities, fuel pump, strainer ( located in the tank), filter or maybe a plug in the fuel lines or problem with injectors. Good luck. If this helps, please rate this. Thanks

What causes a 1993 Chevrolet Lumina to flood out?

Check your coolant temp sensor? Check for applicable trouble codes. You should be fully obd1 compliant, so you should be able to check some codes, yourself.
Use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, also, when you turn the key off, see if pressure holds for a bit. If it drops like a rock, you fuel pressure bleed-off somewhere. Check fuel pressure regulator vac line, if it has gas in it, the regulator is faulty.

How can i check to see if the timing chain is the problem? i have 1993 chevy lumina z34

if this car has the twin cam engine it has timing belts and if its running then there is no problem with that...if the timing belts are broke or have no tension then you will have bent valves possibly.

Fuelfilter

fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump. I would put a pressure checker on the fuel line out of the fuel pump and see how much pressure your fuel pump is receiving.
