Hey im doing a triyon ute with a 4g54 engine just woundering what the timing marks are its got t then 10 on each side btdc and atdc what do I line the crank up with?
Go to auto zone and get the book,it should tell you the right mark...

I'm sure someone has a tester for those but being as old as it is, I doubt if you will find anyone. Likely the test costs more than just getting another from a scrapyard. I've never seen one do that, but with electronics, I am never surprised by anything!

are you setting the timing belt or just setting the timing with a light ? if you are setting the timing it should be set at about 10 before top dead center or maybe would run a little better at 12 or so thanks jerry holler if you have more .

your timing marks are on the dampener pully and you need a timing light to perform the timing of the engine and i am not sure if you have a gas or diesle so just let me know and i will let you know if i can help you

Dont even think of putting the belt on unless you have the correct timing marks for the engine check out the mitsubishi forums for technical info
