That is an interesting question. I experienced this once with a 1995 Taurus and it would sound like the ocean behind the dash on turns. It was a leaking radiator that caused air to get in the system as it leaked. I have also seen the drain plugs clogged for the air box during the summer that collected water due to condensation from the evaporator.

Check the coolant reservoir to see if it is at the correct level and also make sure the air box drain(s) is clear of debris. Although, if the air box is that full with liquid, it usually starts to poor out on the passenger floor so that would give you a better idea of what is happening if that is the case. I hope this gives you some Ideas of how to approach the problem.

If you smell antifreeze in the vents, you have a bad heater core. If not, it a sign that the coolant system is either low on antifreeze or has a blocked coolant vent passage.

What all regular maintance need to be done at 100,000 miles?

Change oil, replace spark plugs and fuel filter, air filter, check all brakes and lube caliper slides, check and flush cooling system, replace trans filter and gasket and perform a trans flush. This will replace all the trans fluid not just the fluid in the trans pan.Add fuel injector cleaner about every oil change. This will keep this vehicle going for another 100k.This is the best engine G.M. has had and will go over 300k.The biggest problem was the upper intake plenum gasket leaking coolant into the cylinders and oil system.Hope this has helped and good luck.
