(Fuel filter will not effect anything, it only prevents build up in engine)
Could be one of these-
~~~~Go to car zone/ or a frendly auto part store, and ask them for a FREE electronic computer check ( where they check the computer, and the computer tell them whats wrong)

Ok - le'ts take it slow
!- spray WD40 into the intake and see if it tries to start.
Check all fuses - with a TEST LIGHT putting it in BOTH SIDES - the fuses under the hood area.
With the key on - try every fuse you see.
then if nothing get back to me -
if it tries to start with the WD40 - you will need a fuel filter and or a fuel pump.
ALSO - remember to add 5 gallons of gas if you get a hollow sound while pounding on the gas tank under the car.
