Remove under engine stone plastic shield there is a drain plug at the bottom of the radiator, remove the cap off the reservoir if the drain is blocked go ahead and remove the clamp on the bottom radiator hose and let it drain from there, if you wish to flush the system, you will need to remove the thermostat and flush it then fit a new thermostat., hope this helps. ps. be sure to use jack stands and a wheel chock.

How to install engnie freeze plug 90 toyota celica st

Hi, are you talking about anti freeze, if so it goes in the engine coolant in the radiator, check the manufacturers specifications for the correct ratio of anti freeze to water for your climate, which I assume changes from season to season. In winter you may have to use 100% anti freeze for the coldest times of the year.

If the car uses anti-freeze without leaking, it is going out the tailpipe. You either have a bad head gasket or a crack in the head or block.

Antifreez type 1991 volvo? 4cyl

Volvo would like you to believe you need their o.e.m. and pricey anti-freeze to keep your cooling system from falling apart. NOT! Any good quality anti-freeze will perform well. Just be sure to mix it 50-50 with water when adding or changing, or using the 50-50 premix that's sold ready to use. More expensive because you're paying anti-freeze prices for water! I have used off-the-shelf anti-freeze in all my Volvos, which run 300,000 miles or more. You can extend the life of your radiator, water ump etc, but flushing the system every year or so, draining off the old coolant and adding a fresh mix.

My 2005 Kia overheated. We changed the thermostat

YOU COULD HAVE A BLOWN HEAD GASKET, MOST REPAIR SHOPS CAN DO A BLOCK TEST WHICH WILL TELL YOU IF HEAD GASKET IS BAD, ALSO CHECK TAIL PIPE FOR WHITE COLOR SMOKE.

Anti freeze

The anti freeze on a 2009 impala only needs to be changed every 5 years or 150,000 miles The amount most of the time is 2 to 3 gallons and it can only use Dexcool antifreeze.

Anti-freeze

the manual is stating that theres a lifetime warranty on the anti freeze through saab and/or your dealer. theyre trying to get the business back to their store instead of you going to pep boys or meineke. the maintenance manual is the one you should run by because im pretty sure no normal grade coolant/anti-freeze lasts 100K miles without getting milky or dirty.

really though, you should change the coolant every time you see it starts to get dirty or if youre low on it.
