Absolutely, the nuts on the the trans lines that join the radiator and the box are free spinning on the lines have a spare piece of hose to join the 2 lines so oil doesnt keep spilling out. hope this helps, good luck.

SOURCE: motor swap 88?

It sure Won't The Bolt Patterns are Different. And you will need to Cut out the Fender Wells to get the 350 to fit and use Hugger Headers and they would be a REALLY Tight Squeeze. I have seen it done though. Also the Rear End would Shell out unless you put a 12 Bolt in it.

SOURCE: i believe my brake fluid leaked out of a 24 year old rubber hose

should be one line going to the back and then it tee's,somewhere by the rearend,if the lines are all rusty, should replace them, make sure that its not the master cylinder.if you look underneath it,they leak from the bottom and run down the firewall or the fluid travels down one of the lines and drips somewhere else, brake lines are solid steel tubing with flare ends on them, they come in multiple lengths, they are straight sticks, you have to bend them according to the old line that you replace, the only rubber lines are the high pressure front caliper hoses, the lines are fairly resonable(local parts store)but a pain in the **** to bend and install, also if the insides of your back tires have brake fluid on them your wheel cylinders are leaking, good luck, hope this helps, aloha from maui todd0708

Steel tubing or rubber flex hose?

What line, where, how long, where does it go-- to end for end

Rubber Hose is just unbolted

Steel tube is unbolted and if necessary cut out & new
tubing has to be cut to size, flared & bent to fit

It is a fabrication job few folks have the patience or skills
for,not many auto repair people do,not the pros

Leaking Oil Plug '92 Olds 88 Royale LS

I wonder if the sealing washer that is on this plug has been lost. These washers are usually aluminium or have a rubber insert, and without it there you are trying for a steel on steel seal.

A stripped thread can often still be backed out, that's no guarantee. Try for a tightening torque of about 15-20 ft-lb and if you get to that it isn't stripped.

Don't worry if it IS stripped, you can buy anoversize self-tapping plug.

How do i take off a rusted fuel filter without bending or breaking the line

Ihave not had any luck removing rusted filters without bending the line. Your best bet would be to cut the line a couple of inches back from the filter and re-install the new filter using rubber fuel line and hose clamps to splice it back together. BE SURE THE RUBBER LINE IS FOR FUEL LINE!

2004 chevy silverado 1500 pickup has trans line leak at the radiator. can I repalce them with rubber hose and if not is it just the fitting at the radiator or do I have to replace the entire lines. Can...

I cant find any diagram for the routing of the lines. Most of the time it is just a fitting and these can be purchased from parts stores and the dealer. You can repair lines if a hole is rubbedin the metal part by cutting and using a compression fitting to repair. If your model has rubber hose at the radiator end then you will need to replace it with transmission or power steering hose.Do not use feul line or plain rubber hose. These are not made from the correct material and will swell and burst.I dont care what the guy says at the parts store feul line is not ok!Unless you have a HD truck you should be dealing with 5/16 (8mm) metal and or hose.Clean the leaking area with brake clean and get it dry , make sure transmission is full and crank the truck and let it run while you pinpoint the leak.Good luck and let me know if i can help.P/s if you decide to replace the lines you can purchase the bent to fit from the dealer.Dont try bending yourself ,it has taking me years to master this.

My brakes dont work the rubber hose is leaking in the back/92 olds cutlessciera how do i fix my brake line and the pipes

The rubber hose you buy at the auto parts store.
If you have rusted and leaking hard lines, they also have them. But you have to cut, bend and flair, the ends yourself. No other way .
