SOURCE: Honda Accord EX 94 vss has been replaced, but still nothing work

If all the connection and power supplies to instrument cluster are ok,I suspect that the speedometer or instrument cluster is faulty but before you replace it, make sure the gear inside the transmission that drives the VSS is in good.

SOURCE: gas gauge does not work on my accord

you may have damaged the fuel gauge when you were messing with the gauge cluster, they can be very delicate.

Check you connections real well.

Could be also, just by coincindence that the sending unit in the gas tank has gone bad.

This is from a 94 Accord; should be the same. Not a great pic., but I think you can figure it out from this:

Vehicle speed sensor. Top of the tranny is a connection. From this, a cable runs to the back of the odometer. Probably need to replace it

Hi i have the exact same problems with my 94 accord ex

your problem is more complex then faulty gauge cluster as your cruise control doesnt work leading me to believe you need a new speed sensor its located on transmission and your lights could be faulty fuse, switch, or bulbs all of which are easy to test heres steps basically following repair manual ex:haynes or chiltons
1. troublshooting:
test fuse, relay, then switch heres how:
well fuse is no brainer but from there locate relay in electrical system section and test once light switch is activated if power is coming out of relay use schematic in section to find appropriate color wire
then if so pull lighting switch out from dash(carefully using skinny flat blade screw driver
then test to make sure power is coming in and out of switch (refer to color schematic)
if so pull gauge cluster do not unplug power leads test to make sure power is coming into illumination circuit (refer to maual) then if so pull and check bulbs (refer to manual) and replace and your done dont forget to rate me heres some bonus information for saving money on parts and accessories

Gauges don't work on 2004 Honda Civic EX

it sounds to me that the instrument cluster has gone bad. not for certain because I cannot see it but if you have a mechanic tell you that it is a very strong possibility.

Flashing green s on the dash

A green flashing "S" is similar to a check engine light. It is telling you that something in or on your transmission is not functioning correctly, such as the speed sensor or shift control solenoids. If it starts flashing and the speedometer stops working or the transmission shifts weird, take it to a mechanic.
