If they fit. They are going to be taller. They will also throw off your speedo. You might think that you are going 50 when you are actually going 55. That is about all it will do if they fit.

That info is incorrect The ABS System won't work correctly, the trans shift points will be effected & much more

I would like to know why the ABS system will not work correctly and how the transmission shiftpoints are going to be effected. I am rather sure this is not the first vehicle that has gone with a bigger set of tires than stock. I have two out in the driveway right now and both have over 200,000 miles on them with no issues with the transmision or the abs.

This might be an issue with the transmission if he was driving as nascar at Daytona.

They would be fine, they will be a little bit taller then your factory tires, but you should have plenty of clearance on that model. May effect your speedometer, so pay attention to speed after changing to different tire size. Should only be a half inch difference I think, so your only talking a couple miles an hour. Easy test put cruise on 60 mph. drive 1 mile timing it should take exactly 60 seconds to reach the end of the mile.

I have a 2007 Chevrolet equinox it has 235/65-16 tires on it can I put 235/75-16 on it without affecting the computer components in the car

Any change in tire size from the factory installed tire size will affect the systems on the vehicle. Your speedometer will not be accurate, and in your case your will be going faster than what is stated on the speedometer with a bigger tire. It will also effect your ABS system if your vehicle is equipped, but only a small amount and some ABS systems can be relearned with a different tire size by a scan tool (but it will not fix your speedo). One option you may do is contact your GM deler and see what it would cost to have a PCM and ABS program intalled, GM offers reflashes of the modules to compensate for aftermarket equipment, but GM charges the dealer for this service, and will of course pass the cost down to you.

2005 Equinox: 2005 chevy equinox vibration at low speeds...

A low speed vibration is likely caused by a tire. Check to see if any rims are bent. Have the tires checked and replaced as necessary. If the tires are worn unevenly have an alignment done. If this is an AWD model check the driveshaft and support bearing.
